Administrators can use the UCx Web Portal to create a new Meet-Me Conferencing bridge or manage existing conference bridges.

Create a New Bridge

To create a new bridge, the Meet-Me Conferencing service must be authorized and assigned to the group.

  1. Log in to ucx.telepacific.com with your group admin credentials.
  2. Click Meet-Me Conferencing on the left menu, then click Meet-Me Conference Bridges.
  3. The Meet-Me Conference Bridges page opens and displays your existing conference bridges.
  4. Click Add. The Meet-Me Conference Bridge Add page opens.

  5. Enter an ID in the Conference ID text box, then select a domain from the drop-down list box.
  6. In the Name box, enter a name for the bridge.
  7. Enter the Calling Line ID First Name and Calling Line ID Last Name; these are the display names to be used with Calling Line ID services.
  8. Select the Department, Language, Time Zone, Network Class of Service, and Security PIN Length from the dropdowns.
  9. In the Operator Phone Number/SIP-URI box, enter the operator’s phone number.
  10. In the Allocated Ports To This Bridge box, specify the number of ports to allocate to this conference bridge. The Maximum Ports Available For This Bridge is determined by the number of ports allocated to the group.
  11. To allow out-dialing to individual participants, check Allow Individual Outdial.
  12. The Warning Prompt is configurable in minutes. Allowed values are 1 to 15 (in minutes). The default value is 10 minutes.
  13. The Maximum Conference Duration is configurable in hours and minutes in the Hr:Min format. Allowed values are 0:15 to 23:45 (in Hr:Min). The default value is 3 hours (180 minutes).
  14. Select the Conference Hosts from a list of users in the group and/or enterprise. Enter search criteria and click Search, or leave the fields blank and click Search to display all users. Select the hosts in the Available Users column and click Add to add them to the Conference Hosts column.
  15. Click OK to create the conference bridge. Now, the listing of conference bridges also includes the newly created bridge.

Manage an Existing Bridge

  1. Log in to ucx.telepacific.com with your group admin credentials.
  2. Click Meet-Me Conferencing on the left menu, then click Meet-Me Conference Bridges.
  3. The Meet-Me Conference Bridges page opens and displays your existing conference bridges.
  4. Click Edit on the line of the bridge you want to manage.
  5. The Profile page for the selected bridge opens. Click the Profile link in the Basic column.
  6. The Meet-Me Conference Bridge Profile page opens. Refer to the steps above for details on the fields on this page.

Assign a Phone Number to an Existing Bridge

  1. Log in to ucx.telepacific.com with your group admin credentials.
  2. Click Meet-Me Conferencing on the left menu, then click Meet-Me Conference Bridges.
  3. The Meet-Me Conference Bridges page opens and displays your existing conference bridges.
  4. Click Edit on the line of the bridge you want to manage.
  5. The Profile page for the selected bridge opens. Click the Addresses link in the Basic column.
  6. The Meet-Me Conference Bridge Addresses page opens and displays the current addresses for this bridge.

  7. To change the phone number assigned to the bridge, select a number from the Phone Number dropdown. The Extension is automatically set to the last digits of the phone number; you can modify it if needed.

    NOTE: The extension must meet the extension length requirements in effect for the group.

  8. In the Aliases text boxes, enter up to three additional SIP addresses. Calls directed to any of these aliases will be redirected to the bridge.

    NOTE: Each conference bridge has a default alias that follows the format userid@domain (as specified on its Profile page). Do not enter this as one of the Aliases. Doing so will result in a duplicate alias error.

  9. Click OK or Apply to save changes, or Cancel to exit without saving.
