Virtual On-Net Users

A Virtual On-Net User is an external user who has been assigned an extension. Authorized users in your group or enterprise can call a Virtual On-Net User using their extension.

Search for Virtual On-Net Users

  1. Log in to ucx.telepacific.com using your admin credentials.
  2. On the Group – Profile page, select Virtual On-Net Enterprise Extensions.
  3. To display all users, click Search. If the search produces over 1,000 entries, an error message displays a warning asking you to define the search criteria to narrow the search.
  4. To search for specific users, enter your search criteria and click Search. You can search by User ID, Last Name, First Name, Phone Number, Extension, Department, Location Code, and Virtual On-Net Call Type.

Add a Virtual On-Net User

  1. Log in to ucx.telepacific.com using your admin credentials.
  2. On the Group – Profile page, select Virtual On-Net Enterprise Extensions.
  3. Click Add. The Virtual On-Net Users Add page appears.
  4. In the Last Name and First Name fields, enter the user’s last and first name as you want them to appear in phone listings.
  5. In the Calling Line ID Last Name and Calling Line ID First Name fields, enter the user’s last and first name to be used as their Calling Line Identification.
  6. In the Phone Number field, enter the user’s phone number.
  7. In the Extension field, enter the extension you want to assign to the user. This extension must be unique within the group.
  8. From the Virtual On-Net Type drop-down list, select the type to assign to this user for billing purposes.
  9. Click Apply or OK to save your changes, or Cancel to exit without saving.

Edit a Virtual On-Net User

  1. Log in to ucx.telepacific.com using your admin credentials.
  2. On the Group – Profile page, select Virtual On-Net Enterprise Extensions.
  3. Click Edit on any item in the row for the user entry to modify.

Add Virtual On-Net Users Using a Range

  1. Log in to ucx.telepacific.com using your admin credentials.
  2. On the Group – Profile page, select Virtual On-Net Enterprise Extensions.
  3. Click Add Range. The Virtual On-Net Users Range Add page appears.
  4. In the Last Name and First Name fields, enter the last and first name for the range.
  5. In the Calling Line ID Last Name and Calling Line ID First Name fields, enter the last and first name to be used as the Calling Line Identification for the range.
  6. In the Number Range field, type the first and last phone number of a continuous range of numbers.
  7. In the Extension Range field, type the first and last extension or the corresponding extension range you want to assign to the range. The extensions must be unique within the group.
  8. From the Virtual On-Net Type drop-down list, select the type you want to assign to the range for billing purposes.
  9. Click Apply or OK to save your changes, or Cancel to exit without saving.
