If you can’t get in to the UCx Web Portal to update your Auto Attendant greetings, you can do so from any phone – whether that phone is within the UCx system or not.
NOTE: If you do not know your Voice Portal number or password, click here.
Access the Voice Portal from a UCx Phone
- Press the Messages button on your phone, or dial the extension of your Voice Portal.
- When you hear the welcome message (“Welcome to your voice messaging system…”), press the * key.
- Dial the extension of the Voice Portal, then press the # key.
- Enter the Admin passcode, then press the # key.
- Continue to “Update the Auto Attendant Greetings,” below.
Access the Voice Portal from an Outside Phone
- Dial the 10-digit number of your Voice Portal.
- When you hear the welcome message (“Welcome to your voice portal…”), dial the extension of the Voice Portal, then press the # key.
- Enter the Admin passcode, then press the # key.
- Continue to “Update the Auto Attendant Greetings,” below.
Update the Auto Attendant Greetings
- Enter the extension of the Auto Attendant.
- Press 1 to change the Auto Attendant’s greeting.
- Press 1 to change the Business Hours greeting.
- Press 1 to record a new Business Hours greeting.
- Press 2 to listen to the existing greeting.
- Press 2 to change the After Hours greeting.
- Press 1 to record a new After Hours greeting.
- Press 2 to listen to the existing greeting.
- Pick up the handset and record the new greeting in a normal tone of voice. When done, press the # key.
- If you want to listen to the greeting you just recorded, press 2.
- If you are unhappy with that greeting, press 1 and re-record the greeting. Otherwise, end the call.
