If an incoming call does not have a calling name associated with it, UCx can perform a local contact search. If the number matches one of the contacts on your UCx contact list, the name is shown on the incoming call screen along with the alert.
If there is no match on your contact list, UCx continues to search in your company’s directory and other available directories. If it finds a match, it will display the available information for the inbound call.
If a record in your call history does not have a calling name associated with it, UCx performs a lookup in the local contacts and populates the name if a match is found.
