TPx Recognized for Excellence in Managed IT Services

LOS ANGELES – March 5, 2018TPx, the premier national managed services carrier, announced today that CRN® , a brand of The Channel Company, has named TPx to its 2018 Managed Service Provider (MSP) 500 list in the MSP Elite 150 category. This annual list recognizes North American solution providers with cutting-edge approaches to delivering managed services. Their offerings help companies navigate the complex and ever-changing landscape of IT, improve operational efficiencies, and maximize their return on IT investments.

In today’s fast-paced business environments, MSPs play an important role in helping companies leverage new technologies without straining their budgets or losing focus on their core business. CRN’s MSP 500 list shines a light on the most forward-thinking and innovative of these key organizations.

The list is divided into three categories:

  • The MSP Pioneer 250, recognizing companies with business models weighted toward managed services and largely focused on the SMB market
  • The MSP Elite 150, recognizing large, data center-focused MSPs with a strong mix of on-premises and off-premises services
  • The Managed Security 100, recognizing MSPs focused primarily on off-premise, cloud-based security services.

TPx Recognized for Excellence in Managed IT Services

TPx is debuting on the MSP Elite 150 list because of significant strategic investments it has made in the last few years to transform from a regional competitive telecom provider to nationwide managed services carrier – a new class of MSP. TPx now offers a full range of managed services, including unified communications, and an ever-expanding set of managed IT solutions.  Its broad and deep set of managed services offerings also deliver connectivity that includes SD-WAN and High Speed Internet Access  reaching almost anywhere in the country, advanced continuity and security solutions that leverage seven SSAE 18 data centers and are anchored by two state-of-the-art Security Operations Centers (SOCs).

TPx’s managed services now account for more than half of the company’s annual revenues. And, TPx projects its managed services business to increase by 20 percent in 2018 based on the strength of its well-rounded offerings for businesses of all sizes and the growing market demand for managed security, UC and SD-WAN-enabled networks.

“Managed service providers have become integral to the success of businesses everywhere, both large and small,” said Bob Skelley, CEO of The Channel Company. “Capable MSPs enable companies to take their cloud computing to the next level, streamline spending, effectively allocate limited resources and navigate the vast field of available technologies. The companies on CRN’s 2018 MSP 500 list stand out for their innovative services, excellence in adapting to customers’ changing needs and demonstrated ability to help businesses get the most out of their IT investments.”

“Earning the MSP Elite 150 designation is validation of our vision to help companies of all sizes to become digital organizations without having to manage the ongoing and escalating complexity of the technology solutions required to drive their success,” said Dave Zahn, Senior Vice President of marketing for TPx. “Several years ago, we anticipated the growing demand for managed services and refocused every part of our company toward realizing this vision.  We’ve made transformational investments, including our SOCs, acquiring a unified communications leader and leading the way leveraging the most powerful SD-WAN technology to extend our reach and serve customers across the country. We’re continuing our complete commitment to providing the broad range of managed services today’s businesses need with additional capabilities and offers.”

The MSP500 list will be featured in the February 2018 issue of CRN and online at www.CRN.com/msp500.
